Well we're nearly halfway through May and whilst it may not have been as warm or as dry as we perhaps hoped for its certainly seen changes in the woodland.
Lush groundcover and the green full canopy has lifted the woodland out of winters grey. But it's not just nature that's been busy. Already this month SWAG have been out and about. We had the riverside walk and litter pick in Forge Valley and the Art masterclass with Alan Stuttle in Raincliffe Woods. The weather for these events couldn't have been better, the woodland was beautiful and, whilst litter picking may not be the most glamorous pastime, there is no doubt that if your gonna do it then there can be few better places to do so than in Rainciffe & Forge Valley Woods.
If you haven't had the opportunity to visit the area lately then try to do so. Peace and relaxation await and it's well worth the effort.
