We believe that the woodland around Scarborough are unique and that they can provide both an educational and a recreational resource for the community but this needs to be carried out sympathetically with minimal impact to ensure that the tranquility and the unique habitats are protected for future generations to enjoy. Raincliffe Woods alone offers over 400 acres of open access with miles of twisting tracks and footpaths to explore as well as bronze age 'roads' and ancient tumuli. Top this off with the steep tree clad slopes of Forge Valley with it's riverside walk and castle ruins and you have one of the most enjoyable area's to explore. But please don't take our word for it, visit Raincliffe & Forge Valley Woods and see it first hand.
